Another chapter of the success story of the iHack series unfolded on the 26th & 27th of October 2019 as iHack 5.0 at the University of Colombo School of Computing Premises. This 24-hour inter-university software development hackathon was organized by the ISACA Student Group of the University of Colombo School of Computing for the 5th consecutive time in order to provide students a platform to explore innovative ideas and collaboratively implement software solutions. This hackathon was conducted under the theme ‘Think – Code – Build’ providing students an opportunity to demonstrate & improve their software development & problem – solving skills. iHack 4.0, the 24 hours software hackathon organized by the ISACA student group of University of Colombo School of computing happened successfully throughout 6th &7th October continuously at the University Of Colombo School Of Computing Premises. There were 15 enthusiastic teams from both government and private institutes converting their creative ideas into mass software solutions. Participants were registered in the morning of 6th October after handing over the t-shirts and the souvenirs. “ iFest 2k18 ”, organized by the UCSC ISACA Student Group with close partnership with the ISACA Sri Lanka Chapter was held on the 13th of May 2018. iHACK 2015; a 24 hour Software Development Competition organized by the University of Colombo School of Computing – ISACA Student Group in partnership with Millennium Information Technologies, was successfully completed on Sunday with the enthusiastic participation of a number of teams of aspiring software developers from the University of Colombo. Intended to provide students with an opportunity to demonstrate and improve their software development and problem solving skills as well as their ability to pitch their end product in a competitive manner, the competition was widely accepted for its breadth of focus. The event was held at the UCSC on the 5th and 6th of September 2015 under the theme “One Team, One Dream..” which was also reflected in the competition task.
